La Fraise Rose: Florals and chocolate-covered strawberries

This Mount Pleasant boutique specializes in made-to-order chocolate-covered strawberries and other edible fruit arrangements. La Fraise Rose is also known for its fresh flower arrangements, such as roses in a box, Parisian floral hat boxes,100-rose bundles, or chocolate strawberry bouquets, as well as beautiful dried florals. The business is owned by local entrepreneur and mom Nicole Pham, who wanted to create a floral Eden for customers in which to shop for elegant gifts and treats.

Goddess Sphere: Curated self-care gift box

This new biz was founded by a duo of Vancouverite women who are long-time pals who wanted to create "a full-circle marketplace for women-owned businesses, as well as a marketplace of ideas." Goddess Sphere's goal is to connect customers to "uncomplicated approaches to focus, balance, and well-being." To that end, they've made Mother's Day gifting uncomplicated thanks to their curated Mother's Day Box which has an impressive selection of self-care goodies.

Each recycled pine gift box holds the following: Tallu & Co. Roses Soy Candle and Vanilla Mint Body Butter; Loakin Botanicals Mystical Rose Mist; Helena Lane Nourishing Skincare Travel Set ; Nature’s Bodega's  Candle Care Set, Reusable Facial Rounds and Bamboo Toothbrush. The box is their first release and is offered at a great sale price, with the option to customize a message to the recipient.

Lover's Tempo: Jewellery

For those who are a fan of dainty demi-fine gold jewellery with decidedly celestial-inspired motifs, there’s Lover’s Tempo. The Vancouver-based brand opened its brick-and-mortar boutique in Kits exactly one year ago, offering a dreamy space in which to shop for jewellery.

One of Lover's Tempo's current best-selling collections is the "Cleo" line, which includes a layered necklace, hoop earrings, and ring. They also have a birthstone collection, which adds a lovely personalized touch.

River and Sea Flowers: CSA "flower share"

For a gift that keeps giving, Delta-based River and Sea offers a "flower share" for bouquets all summer, which can be picked up at the farm or the Vancouver Farmers Market. Their stunning dahlias can be purchased as a share for pick-up at the farm, but for those in the city, the Flower Friend Share (which is kind of like a credit account for beautiful blooms) is easy to use to get bouquets at River and Sea's farmers' market stall.

Sons: Sleepwear

Give the gift of lounging - or at least something cozy, stylish, and local to lounge in with pyjama sets and sleep accessories from Vancouver's Sons brand. They have three sets of floral-patterned cotton PJs for purchase online.

Mala the Brand: Candles

For anyone who loves candles, Mala the Brand has lovely individual candles and combo sets showcasing an array of nature- and nostalgia-fulled scents. Founder Melody Lim turned Mala from a side hustle into a full-time gig, growing massive support online for her indie Vancouver hand-crafted and eco-conscious candle biz. For every full-size Mala candle purchased, a tree is planted, too. Look for popular scents like "Cereal" or "Toast," seasonal scents, or cool collaborations.

Glimmer Collective: Tools for navigating grief

For a grieving mother, grandmother, or mother figure, Glimmer Collective offers some thoughtful ways to provide extra care. Founded by a Metro Vancouver resident and mom, the local business sells a Guided Grief Journal, Affirmation Card Set, and scented candles to help anyone go through the grieving process.
