For years, this sculpture sat in Granville Square, at the foot of Granville Street downtown (200 Granville to be exact).

As a kid, every time I came to Vancouver, I’d climb on it, despite the myriad of signs saying “NO CLIMBING”. Why wouldn’t you climb this beast.

One day a few years ago, I found myself walking through the square, and noticed that the sculpture was gone, and it bummed me out, cause it was so Vancouver to me (wood, water logged, people all over it…)

Well, I found it. Now, this sucker’s in Princeton BC, and it is all dried out and there’s no one to stop anyone from climbing on it now!

I’m stoked!
