Dear TORONTOISAWESOME.COM
Hey guys, sorry about that last goal in the shootout tonight.

Hey guys, sorry about that last goal in the shootout tonight.

Do you want to know why this dog I saw on the street today is sad?

He’s sad because I don’t have the time to add Dogtown Vancouver posts anymore, and he knows that there’s a lot of awesome Vancouver dogs who should be getting featured.
Remember Grampa, Frankie, George, Gypsy, Kandy, Fenway, Ostin, Bitey, Rae, Sassafras, Kayna, Kona, Rocco, Gauge, Tashi, Greco, Boomer, Iggy, Thor and Jonathan? There are thousands and thousands more dogs in the city who could be featured.
So. If you a) love dogs and b) would love to receive photos and information about Vancouver dogs in your e-mail all the time and c) are responsible and committed enough to add profiles of these dogs on VancouverIsAwesome.com every week then please give me a shout. We need you as our Dogtown Vancouver Editor!

This week for my Community Center review, I went and checked out the Kitsilano Community Center.

Located at the corner of 12th and Larch, 2690 Larch Street to be exact, Kits Community Center is the mall of community centers. More like a 70′s mall that’s had a recent reno… The place is huge, sprawling, and has everything that you need.
Let’s talk shop: Inside the community center, the gym is …READ THE REST OF THIS ENTRY>>>

First post. Everyone should head down to my hood on Sat, Feb 21st @ 5:29pm for the light at show in Yaletown. Bob K’s old barrio. From their official website…
On Saturday, February 21st, 2009, light art will illuminate yaletown. As the only outdoor event to take place in Vancouver at this time of year, this event will bring light to a gloomy night. Featuring light installations developed by artists and architects, cutting edge music and interactive activities, illuminate yaletown will allow attendees to see Vancouver as it has never been experienced before.
This will be the first annual illuminate yaletown, developed to showcase creative talent and brighten up a gloomy winter evening. Put this event on your 2009 calendar – it will be a night to remember and a favourite of Vancouverites for years to come. See you there!

The best deal in Vancouver is now in effect. For those of you who don’t know, Grouse’s Y2Play passes are an amazing deal. Sure, Grouse is kinda limited and not a lot of terrain… but for around $350, you can ride for the rest of this year, and all of next year…
Plus, Grouse has been on a roll for snow the last few years…
That’s a smokin deal!!!! But it’s only available for a limited time only… and we have to have VIA nights next year, so stock up!
I promised Jef Choy I would post proof I was there from midnight – 5AM during Grouse Mountain’s all-nighter – so here it is! Enjoy! PS – My friend Dean and aren’t smokers those are “celebratory cigars”! It’s an annual tradition, starting this year. Oh and this was all shot on a 1-megapixel camera or something hahaha HD is a scam this is the real REAL!
I know I’ve been posting several videos from Romantic Child Studios.com but Sterling has been killing it with all the wonderful work he has been spitting out. A lot of it is filmed in Vancouver and shines on the different aspects of the cities in the most unique way. This included documentary is about Dance Crowkiller who resides on Commercial Drive, earning living as an artist living on the streets! Watch out for this documentary getting screen all over Vancouver.
