Great interview! Somebody has to steer that man to better places to eat though. Elbow room?
Anyway, Mat - Montreal is the most awesome city in NA, 2nd only to NYC. You're right - but George has to compliment Vancouver during an interview out here and he made a unique observation.
How refreshing not to hear that usual "you can golf, ski and hike" diarrhea, like we live in National park.

Love this website!

i think george has something very wrong.
as a mtler i can say it is THE most on edge city in canada. yes, spacially it flows in a way that toronto and vancouver do not. but you are talking about a place that is about 30 different vibes in different 30 different areas. you never know what language to address someone in. and you are always struggling with a sense of belonging. 30% of the city is trinlingual. as an example there is a jamaican english area (ndg) and africanadian english area (little burgundy) and then a bunch of french haitian and african french areas in the east end (mtl nord and st michel). i could go on. it never ends everything is chopped up and segregated and you are always having to assess people and places to see where you fit amongst it. i think george needs to get out of downtown and the plateau because that is more of the tourist montreal.

Vancouver is my favorite place to go for a holiday. I hear Carol Burnett will be there soon and there is a chance to enter a contest. How do I submit my name? I think I have a great chance because I have had this awesome dream about Carol Burnett that I would love to tell her about and of course I can do a great imitation of the Tarzan call.
