I spend a fair amount of time at Hastings Race Course, for $20 you can bet on a few horses, take in the beautiful scenery (it's one of my favourite views in the city), and eat some stuff that is pretty bad for you....oh..and you get to see horses run real fast.

All these perks add up to a great experience and so losing doesn't even feel that bad, and winning....I never get sick of winning....it always feels like the first time you've ever won anything....

Oh...back to the beef on a bun...yes.  Roast beef is like the turkey of red meat, it's not day to day meat.  At a horse race you expect stuff like hot dogs, which is fine, but to have a fresh roast beef sandwich is a real treat.  I'm even going to take a step further and say that this sandwich is like a whole roast beef dinner but it's in a bun so you can eat it with one hand!  It's got horseradish (made from real horses!), dijon, gravy too, but instead of broccoli, it comes with a pickle, the way vegetables were meant to be eaten.....  The beef is freshly cut too not from a bag (I'm talking to YOU Mr. Sub!).

I've realized that putting meat, horse, and eat in the same paragraph is not very appetizing....
