Located on Davie street and open from 11AM until 3AM, this window is essentially the backdoor for the larger, sit down, Chinese restaurant that is in the same building that faces out onto Granville street. There’s usually 10-or-so different options on the “Pickup only” menu, everything is $4.50 and is served up in about 15 seconds. Seriously. A new drunken late night spot or a cheap lunch/dinner is what your fortune cookie reads today.

We got down to BC Place for the Eat! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival on Saturday. It was packed with lots of folks looking for samples of food and wine/beer and many other things. For $10 we got a sheet of tasting tickets and went at it.

NAME: Sadie. BREED: BEAGLE/PITBULL. HOOD: East Van baby. FAVORITE SNACK: Vera’s Burgers! OTHER INFO: Sadie is a pound rescue, with separation anxiety, OCD, and depression (previously). She’s 11 years old and one of the strongest, nicest, most amazing dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She makes my heart whole!
