Playland, PNE XCIX, En Vogue!

POSTED June 5, 2009 BY Boon Kondo

So Play Land is now on and the PNE is its in its 99th year this year with the 100th anniversary going down in 2010. The PNE Fair is on in its usual time of the last 2 weeks of the summer (or how it seemed when you were going back to school in September), Aug. 22 to Sep. 7. For those that wanna continue the Vancity 90s Soul revival after Maxwell on JUNE 24, you got En Vogue playing the Summer Night concert series on AUG. 25.

how did you do that post without getting nostalgic? Fat Boys, Grapes of Wrath, Sarah Mclaughlin, BDP?

My first concert ever was the Fat Boys at the PNE! More recently I went to see En Vogue at the River Rock Casino, totally worth going! If you weren’t in Diapers in the early 90’s you would be psyched!

For some reason I remember December 10th 1991. Mc Hammer was supposed to play PNE Coliseum with Vanilla Ice but En Vogue opened instead. I was so bummed because I had no idea who they were and was a HUGE Ice fan

I used to have a crush on Dawn from EnVogue….There I said it!

    you and phife right?

I hope they get a new rollercoaster for their 100th anniversary as the last major one added was over 20 years ago (corkscrew). They dismantled wild mouse last year due to health inspectors deeming it unridable. They need to replace it with something… Putting the ferris wheel in that empty spot doesn’t count…

Oh snap. Was at the Grapes and BDP concert. Actually was IN the water at the Aqua Stage for the Grapes.

Cindy looks great for having 4 kids. I have a crush on all of them. All En Vogue ladies look so great. It is great to see them all together.

LEAVE A REPLY BUT DON'T TALK NO TRASH BECAUSE WE WILL DELETE IT. BE NICE!
