The Proof – Heather Maxwell-Hall
Heather Maxwell-Hall is a super talented Vancouver born and raised writer and photographer. Mostly self-taught and intuitive, she has been published in a variety of online and print publications, such as Lula Magazine and Fecal Face. She has also shown her work in the UK at the Learning to Love You More group exhibition. Be sure to check out her website and see her amazing photographs that show her unconventional and whimsical viewpoint of the world.
The Proof
1. We now have a garden with raspberry bushes, herbs, peonies, black currants, icelandic poppies, rhododendrons, and tons of other plants I’m learning about.
2. Growing other stuff, too. I’m 9 months pregnant and due any day with our first baby.
3. Love wandering around weird, unknown places in and around Vancouver. Recently ended up in north burnaby beneath this giant metal viking head. Hammer of the gods, dudes.
4. Print of Gerhard Richter’s painting Betty above the desk, plus flowers from the garden.
5. One of my sisters on the beach at my mom’s place near Sechelt.
6. Sketchy dinner on a dead president’s plate.
7. My husband napping. The kind of thing that feels like decadent luxury now that we’re about to have a baby.
8. Downtown playground in Cooper’s Park, underneath the Cambie Street bridge.
