1980’s HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK
POSTED July 2, 2009 BY Bob Kronbauer
It really does warm my heart to see cars like this one not only still on the road but in pretty good condition. Whoever’s taking care of this thing is doing an awesome job, right down to Armor All’n the tires and the bumpers.

Do any of you know the exact year of this one?

It’s likely 1978 or 1979. The major cosmetic change from 1977 was in the taillights. The three thicker bands were introduced in ‘78.

Classic “down on the street” photo. Unfortunately, not the island that rust forgot though. Make this a regular feature! I’m ready to submit the photo of my ‘72 VW camper

I think what I like the most is that it’s on the road at all. It’s not really one of those collector cars, the Honda Civic hatchback… but I would personally love to own one if it was in mint condition.
Tony, the wheels are turning (as usual, corny pun intended) on a “still on the road” feature…
