One of many rad film fests in the city over summertime, from JULY 8 – 12 is the 2ND BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL OF VANCOUVER. 16 flicks will be showed over this period including Diplo’s much hyped FAVELA ON BLAST (Friday @ 8:30pm) Its been a few years since the baile funk noise and also since this doc’s been made but this could be the first major screening of it in Vancouver. Saw Last Stop 174 tonight. Not quite as good as City of God but better than City of Men. The director was in the house as well. All seats in the Vancity Theatre were had green and yellow seat covers – oh lay, oh lay, oh lay, oh laaaay…
