Ever since I’ve known my wife she’s been telling me this story about how when she lived on Fraser she “used to always go to this place near 50th Ave where you could get 4 samosas for a buck!!!”. I’m always like “Man, those were the days.” every time she tells it because of my memories of a time when cheap samosas reigned supreme over this city, probably around the same time that Granville street from Georgia to Nelson had like three 99 cent pizza shops on every block.

We were driving around today and on a whim we visited 50th Ave and Fraser, just to see if maybe her spot was still there… and it is! It’s not 4 for a buck but seriously… 3 for a buck is ridiculously cheap! And these are not Samosa Bites, these are regular sized samosas. Not Sweet Cherebum monster sized, but incredible at 3 for a buck.

Just look for this sign at 6555 Fraser, between 50th and 51st…
