Vancouver Celebrates Diwali
POSTED October 18, 2009 BY Maurice
Diwali is the South Asian festival of lights celebrated by a large number of people in India and all around the world. As part of the 6th Annual Vancouver Celebrates Diwali Festival, the Roundhouse Community Centre will model itself after a bustling Punjabi market for Downtown Diwali today. The free event will feature dance and live music by local and visiting performance artists, blending the best of traditional South Asian arts with contemporary fusion styles, ranging from Hindustani to Hip-Hop and Classical Persian to Punjabi Rock. The market atmosphere will also feature Indian foods, arts & crafts and educational displays for all ages. Downtown Diwali runs from noon to 7pm.

Cool! It would be a dream come true if they could somehow get THUMS UP on tap for this event. I would love to taste it as fountain pop! http://vancouverisawesome.com/2009/05/21/blowin-up-your-spot-3-1-bottles-of-thums-up/
