Roger Allen announces the launch of his fall/winter line of skateboard inspired art prints at Crooked Walker Designs. Crooked Walker Designs are a reflection of over twenty years of skateboarding and the culture it defines and borrows from.
Just in time for the holiday season:
· Skate Photo Panels. New photos have been added to my series of documented skateboards decks. The photos of my used boards reflect the highly influential street skating pioneers of the 80s and 90s. Mounted on wood panels, the medium format photos are printed with archival Epson Ultrachrome ink.
· Music cassettes prints. The inspiration for the cassette illustrations is from my massive collection of mix tapes. All prints are silkscreened, hand accented and signed.
· Punk Handbill prints. This series of collages are made from punk rock handbills I collected from shows I saw in the eighties. All prints are silkscreened, hand accented and signed.
· Original skateboard baseplate prints. As seen on the cover of Color Skateboard Magazine 6.6, my series of hand stamped baseplate impressions explore how skateboarding has made an impression on me, and how I have literally left an impression on skateboarding. All prints are printed with archival Epson Ultrachrome ink and signed.
