Beavers have taken up housing lodging…in the duck pond in Charleson Park (south Side of False Creek, along the seawall)!

Vancouver photojournalist Jonathan Taggart was out with his brother Mishak when they spotted the lodge.
“I mean, how the hell did they get there? Walked from Stanley Park or Trout Lake?  The sewers?”

The beavers themselves weren’t spotted around the 8-foot-ish lodge, but beavers don’t hibernate, so sightings of the nocturnal castor canadensis’ should follow soon enough…
