Vancouver Is Awesome, and we are dedicated to everything that makes it that way.
If you want to read ugly, bad news about this beautiful city of ours, you’re going to have to look to traditional media and other blogs; V.I.A. promotes everything that makes our city awesome, from old to new and everything inbetween. We’re like the human interest piece on the news… only different.
Because despite being closest to the ice and thus the priciest seats, its the crappiest view.
You can’t see the corners and barely the net…if they care what is going on they have to stand or lean over the boards.
That and shifts are barely 45seconds long (at least in the NHL)…and you dont use the doors, you go over the boards.
That’s what I believe at least.

in the NHL, they don’t stand as often. i think its because in the WHL, they want to look eager to play and get out on the ice and impress the coach/scouts/whoever.
in the NHL, they only stand if someone has a breakaway or something. or overtime maybe?

1) standing has a better view, can see into corners
2) you stand if your shift is coming up to make sure you have space to jump the boards
3) you stand if you’re yapping to the other bench

I’m following spencer’s lead on this one….in the WHL they stand more than the NHL….
