		<description>in the NHL, they don&#039;t stand as often. i think its because in the WHL, they want to look eager to play and get out on the ice and impress the coach/scouts/whoever. 
in the NHL, they only stand if someone has a breakaway or something. or overtime maybe?</description>

You can&#039;t see the corners and barely the net...if they care what is going on they have to stand or lean over the boards.

That and shifts are barely 45seconds long (at least in the NHL)...and you dont use the doors, you go over the boards.
