Me-n-Ed’s Pizza!

POSTED November 1, 2009 BY Jef Choy
Tweet

Based on the responses from this post, I know people in Vancouver are pretty passionate about their pizza.  This is my favourite place in the city…well it’s in Burnaby….Me-n-Ed’s.  It’s the only pizza I really crave…that’s not to say that out of convenience, I might delve into the buck a slice category of pizza, which is another food group and post onto it’s own.

The crust is really what makes this pizza better than most, it’s like pastry.  They don’t go too nuts on cheese and tomatoes either which brings out the crust even further.

click the pic for more info!

I’ve tried a few different ones, but I keep on going back for the perogy pizza which is the one at the top of the pic (we get the bacon bits on the side) The one of the bottom is boccocini, tomato, and basil.

Is the different between a restaurant and a pizza parlor plastic cups?  It is right?

They serve pop by the pitcher!  This occasion just happened to be my BIRTHDAY….so we pretty much had to get a pitcher of rootbeer.   mmm…non stop pop….

Which one do you think is Ed, and…and which one is me….no you!….no me….

Looks like I’m not the only person who loves the stuff!

I’ve eaten at the Coquitlam location twice in the last week! You are correct, they don’t overdo it on the cheezze. The garden vegetable is just right.

yeah me & ed’s is pretty rad. total institution!

on the flip side, if youre after the best homemade sauce and mega cheese try Zorro’s on Boundary. Been there like 30+ yrs, family run. Loving it since I was a newt.

there used to be a Me&Ed’s on lonsdale in north vancouver, but it closed down. i hate to say it, but it was overpriced and not that great. i remember ordering two larges there and it cost $50…. that was a while ago, and im not too sure on the exact details, i just remember wanting to try it once, realising how expensive it was, not being that impressed, and never going back. it might’ve just been the lonsdale branch, anyone else remember it being like that?

People are so particular about their pizza, I was expecting some hater comments in here but HOLY CRAP Me N Eds must be some kinda wonderful… definitely will be checking them out… or wait, Jef, is this the pizza you bought for the hockey pool night?

  • Boon

Daaam, Choy! This is hilarious. Being sorta from the same hood as Lyndsay above, I was hitting that place in elementary school after our baseball games and stuff at Richmond Park off Elwell, was it, just down the street. Yeah, totally remember pop in the pitcher. i think its also where I learned the word pepperoni.

Also, not sure if its mentioned above but the area and plaza is now called Highgate instead of Middlegate, ;p

Big ups on more Bby posts.

no bob….that was capota’s…which is good pizza too…but there is always regret…me and ed’s is pretty regret free….

  • Bulldozer

Are you kidding or just kids, I tried this place a couple weeks back. WHAT A MISTAKE! What a waste of 50 Bucks and that was with a coupon. Not on your wallet or mine will I go back. One of the worst pizza I’ve had the misfortune of tasting. Brought back memories of “Kraft” and their attempt at D.I.Y. Pizza. Chucky Cheese does better, not much better but better.
