Oh, there is a dope Middle Eastern donair joint, streetside on the Kingsway side - Abdul's. One of the tastiest places in town in my opinion. The plates with rice, taboleh, salad is also a good deal and very filling.

Btw, for those that miss the Vietnamese stall, there is Green Bamboo on streetside on Willingdon, they got lemon grass chicken subs and Viet style curry too. Beside that to the left is a Korean tofu joint which is small and busy but pretty good.

My goodness, Choy, I cant believe you beat me to this post. Im there about a couple times a week as I work close by and half my office is also there at lunch. I can go on about this place and I will.....in fact, I might have to do a multipart series on this.

1) The parkade is gong show, patience is a virtue if you venture down there. I used to park at the Old Orchard plaze kitty corner across and walk over and did that for years until I nearly got towed for it (even though I commonly shop in the plaza on the way back).
2) There is a market underneathe so you can have a cheap lunch and get some groceries shortly after
3) The Shanghai stall is very popular indeed, mostly for the fresh made dumplings but I like the Dan Dan noodles, beef rolls and the sliced rice patties with picked vegetables.
4) RBO - I used to go to the Viet stall a lot, it was open the latest. Sometimes Id get the tomato broth noodles or lemon grass chicken and get a sub to go for later. The lady was Wendy. ;p
5) Ryan - Taste of Yong's is gone but yeah, man, probably had the heartiest deal in town with the deep fried and grilled pork plus kimchi and fried egg for like, what, $5.50 was it?
6) Curry King (to the corner on the right near the washrooms) is one of my favs for the Penang fried kway teow (Malay fried noodles) and Hainan chicken, Triple One Malaysia (the purple colored stall that replaced the Vietnamese stall) also has the same and also laksa!
7) Hung's Teppanyaki is also pretty good and comforting (beside Curry King)
8) the Korean Sushi place on the left (by the escalator) also has good deals/combos

I agree with the Shanghai place.... great and cheap (!!) xiaolongbao. Also, Abdul's Shawarma (entrance off Kingsway) is awesome.

I'm just going to copy and paste what Flora said, because the dumplings are so incredible:

The Shanghai food place near the back is absolutely amazing. Best Shanghai dumplings you’ll ever have!
