WRESTLING IS COMING TO NORTH VAN!
All Star wrestling was introduced to me by my grandparents. Â They started watching it in it’s heyday with such famed wrestlers as Gene Kiniski and Killer Kowalski. Â I don’t think I ever saw my grandmother get angrier than when she was watching wrestling, man she got into it.
We can look back now and giggle at it….how did she ever think it was real? Â By the time I was 12, I had it figured out and I was over it. Â The whole thing is staged…how fun is that?
Well…twenty years later I went to an ECCW card, and man was it fun, Granny would have loved it.  Fake?  OK, in some ways of course…but when that dude jumped off the chair from inside the ring and his toes hooked on the top rope, and his chest smashed on the concrete floor, that was real, and in the main event when they took to the stands, I ran for the exit.
You won’t be disappointed, in some way…you will be scared. Â Just to make it truly a cultural experience, I recommend you first have a greasy burger at the Tomahawk. Â Oh what night….
Date: Friday the 13th of course!
Time: 8pm
Place: 100 Capilano Rd. North Van
