Triple One Malaysia inside Cristal Mall foodcourt next to Metro also has laksa, better than Hawker’s imo.

Not sure if Prima Taste is still around on Robson & Seymour. They make Malay pastes and stuff for groceries too.

Banana Leaf and Tamarind Hill have the best ones so far though i think. Cant remember about Tamarind but BL has both Sing and Malay style.

@Boon @Denniss, Thanks for the tip guys. I’ll be sure to try a few of these places, Bo Laksa King for sure, since I’m kind of a laksa nut myself.

thanks for the note on bo laksa, denniss, thats right by me and im a laksa lover, will see if its better than banana leaf’s. tamarind hill (pretty much a banana lear equal out in new west) has good laksa too.

for those out in south van – there’s kedah house right by the plaza with the Vision just east of the Knight bridge and those out by Hastings in East Van, there is Suri Malaysia just off Nanaimo i think.

Hawker’s lamb curry is the best! But if you want laksa, Bo Laksa King on Joyce (1 block north from Joyce Station) is currently Vancouver’s best laksa. Rich tasty coconut curry broth and all the herbs like laksa leaf!

The laksa here actually isnt that great, im not sure why i ended up having it this weekend but all the other dishes from the curries to noodles to the veggie dishes are all pretty good.

Banana Leaf laksa is tight but of course a bit more in price.

You can also buy laksa paste from places like T&T and Cristal mall market in Bby and you make it just like Thai curry, just mix it with coconut milk and put whatever else you want in the soup.
