Where do we start? Following up Tuesday's win over Columbus, the Canucks went on to blank Phoenix 4-0 last night at GM Place. Alex Burrows recorded his second consecutive hat-trick (which hasn't happened since the 1986-'87 season), and Roberto Luongo added yet another notch in his bid to become the #1 netminder for Team Canada at the Winter Games by recording his 50th career shutout at last night's game. Henrik Sedin continues to rack up the points with 17 in his last 8 games, making him the current #1 in overall points in the NHL. Mikael Samuelsson scored his 100th NHL goal and Kyle Wellwood (who's had 3 points in his last 5 games) played his 300th NHL game last night (as did Steve Bernier). The 'Nucks are on a 4-game winning streak and have won 11 of their last 14. They're tied for first place in the Northwest Division with Calgary, so don't miss this division-rival match-up on Hockey Night In Canada this Saturday at 7pm. A must-watch for the fans and the bandwagoneers!
