Those stunning photos were a contribution of Emmanuel Buenviaje (http://www.flickr.com/people/emmanuel_buenviaje/) a friend of mine from Flickr whom I've had the pleasure of meeting at the Flickn' Awesome Fundraiser, of all places. Thought I would give him a plug here.

And I just picked up my copy of City of Glass again (thanks Bob for bringing it up a few weeks ago). I'll have to pick up 'Vancouver Special'; there is always room on my bookshelf for another made-in-Vancouver-for-Vancouver books.

(I wish I could figure out how to have an icon beside my name)

Bob, I'm glad you revoked your City of Glass statement for this book. It is far more worthy of such praise. I suspect Charles was being polite, but it's no contest - the former is made for those who are just visiting, never coming back and want a postcard book for souvenir. V.S. is written for locals and folk interested in staying, learning and contributing to this community. Fantastic writing, very insightful & the B/W images throughout are stunning.
