Ground has been broken for the new skatepark at Kensington Park, which is at 37th and Knight, and they are motoring. Based on the design below, brought to us by the VSBC, it looks like it's going to be a ton of fun for everyone this summer.
Vancouver gets top marks in the world of skateboarding, and one of the many reasons are facilities like this. In a pretty direct way, skateboarding is what brought many of the contributors on this site to Vancouver, and was a common thread which got this site off the ground.
Thanks again Vancouver for keeping this city rad for skateboarders....
