Dude! We totally LOST! I know it’s hard to believe after going undefeated last year, and for the first day this year, but nope…heartbreaker shoot out loss in semis.

I’d like to thank the VIA team (pictured below L to R) Jas Gil, Ranbir Dulai, ME!, Aalia Chatur, Simon Lam, Tim Stump, Erynn Tomlinson, for busting their butts, and making the weekend super fun. Play On! of course put on a great event, it’s the most fun at Metrotown I’ve ever had. Getting lost between games, hitting up the food fair, and having a place get cover when it was hot and sunny or rainy was perfect. Every team, right down to the team that knocked us out, was super cool too, the ‘hey we got to make it work tomorrow’ rule was in full effect which isn’t always the case in tournaments.

Coming together…. See that knob at the end of her stick..it’s not tape, it’s turban, I can’t think of anything that epitomizes street hockey more than that….

You always got watch it with goalies, you say the wrong think and next thing you know a crossbar is smashed and you get a helmet thrown at you. Not Tim…he was cool…..

This happens really fast but it’s nuts, Erynn roofs one on Sumo Suit sniper style. Look how much space she has…none. All those hours spent shooting on a milk crate at Sunset Beach paid off. She was the most physical player on our team.

See what I mean….pushed that dude off the ball…..fends off the other dude…I yell for it (my best skill), pass it to Simon who scores.

So what happened? Oh…I’ve got a million excuses…but this is my favourite…
