I've been noticing lots of restaurants and bars about town with signs in them advertising various specials and what-not to go along with the World Cup.

Vancity Theatre will be showing some big screen World Cup action live, HD, and free this weekend and The Rio Theatre will be showing games ($5) next month.
It's kind of like Olympic fever, minus those guys who chanted CA-NA-DAH below my window for six hours straight and to no one in particular for days on end...
