This week 60 Vancouver photographers will be found dusting off their light meters (or shining them up) to get ready to participate in the 12x12 Vancouver Photo Marathon that goes down on Sunday. In a nutshell, each photographer will be given a single roll of film (yes, FILM!) and over 12 hours will be given 12 themes in which they're to shoot a single photo in the spirit of.

Woah! This is so very cool.

Home base where they'll be meeting up to be handed their theme every hour is Blenz Coffe at 338 Helmcken in Yaletown and there will be an exhibit showing the best images that were gathered on October 16th, 2010 at the Vancouver Photo Workshops at 14 West 7th Ave.

Below is an interview with Marc Koegel from the Workshop. 12x12 has a healthy, active and robust blog with plenty of regular updates. Training for a marathon, I suppose! Have a look HERE and stay tuned as we'll be bringing you some of the best photos after it all goes down.
