Over the last year Knowledge, BC's viewer-supported public broadcaster, commissioned 50 original short films on artists, performers and designers living and working in our province. Many of them from Vancouver, some of which we've featured on V.I.A. in the past (AC Newman, Douglas Coupland, Dace and Dan Mangan to name a few), and also a great many you may never have heard of before but whom are doing amazing work.

Known collectively as “The 5ifty,” the majority of the films were commissioned in three separate programs - 12 Takes, A Window Looking In, and cArtographies - and this Monday September 13th they're screening all three of them at Pacific Cinémathèque... for free! And the filmmakers will be in attendance! You really can't beat that.

Monday September 13th

Pacific Cinémathèque (1131 Howe St)

7:30pm – 12 Takes & A Window Looking In

9:00pm – cArtographies
