In the FIRST POST about our trip to Tofino to check out their food festival, Feast!, I showed you the villa we stayed in at Pacific Sands Resort.

Not only is it an incredibly comfortable place to stay, but it delivers that whole "rain forest colliding with ocean and some of the most relaxing yet dramatic views in the world" experience I mentioned in my first post. This private plank trail pictured below is one of the gems.

In last year's Georgia Straight BEST OF awards we took home an editor's pick for "Best Navel Gazing Web Site", and while our non-profit organization that supports our web site (Vancouver Is Awesome, Inc) is focused on celebrating all of the awesome things that make up our city one of those things is it's proximity to other awesome places. In Super, Neighbours in British Columbia we take you on adventures to other BC locales that we think you should check out.

It takes you through the rain forest on Pacific Sands' property for about a half a kilometre and directly to... you guessed it... the ocean! The trail actually winds up at a viewpoint where you can watch the sun set over the water but this day we opted instead to take a hard left at that junction so we could dig through the shells you see in the foreground (which actually make up the ground in this little cove, they're about 2 feet deep) to find some to take home with us.

Stay tuned for my final post when I share some of the views from the Pacific Sands Resort!
