While we all patiently wait for some weather that better befits mid-May, I found it somewhat useful to remind myself that we owe all the lush green foliage that we so enjoy to all the precipitation that we receive. Don't get me wrong; I'd like the rain to stop, please, just stop - I've got a fridge-drawer full of film burning pleading for the rain to stop. But when the rain finally does stop (and it will), and the warm sunshine hits all that nicely-hydrated foliage, it is going to look absolutely amazing around here.
