It is kind of surreal to think about it, but the Vancouver Canucks are one win away from going to the Stanley Cup Final. Certainly the series is not over, but I like the Canuck's chances with a 3-1 series lead and potentially hosting two more games in the friendly confines of Rogers Arena. Seventeen long years have passed since the last time the Vancouver has played in the month of June.

In case you weren't aware of the etymology, the word 'fan' is short for 'fanatic'. While I would classify myself as a fan, I've never painted my face or made a Stanley Cup out of tinfoil - certainly I've never worn a blue spandex bodysuit to a game. But some people get right into it this time of year, and if you don't believe me, perhaps a photograph by Jeremy Lim can persuade you. Jeremy went to the part of town where almost anytime you can see something that you've never seen before - Granville Street after dark - and saw how some folk can get right carried away on The Road to the Stanley Cup.

Never seen that before.
