Well THAT was a Canada Day to remember. 20 local bands, doing 20 minute sets! It was about 7 hours of straight music! Thanks to The Peak Performance Project for putting together a great day (I've borrowed my own photos from them below!). Jazz Fest was also happening this weekend and I managed to catch The Crackling as well! Hope everyone heard some music this weekend. If not, you have TWO more straight weekends of great bands/festivals!

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: you can see music EVERY DAY! Starting tonight with David Vertesi, Megan Bonnell, and Steph Macpherson at the Railway. Thursday there are two events, the Kulth Music Festival preview at the Electric Owl annnnd the Shore's Song Search Showcase (say that 3 times fast) at The Biltmore. Friday, Saturday and Sunday is when Summer Live takes place. Vancouver's 125th continues with TONS of free music in Stanley Park with many local favourites: Hey Ocean, Dan Mangan, We Are The City, Aidan Knight, Hannah Georgas, Said The Whale, The New Pornographers, Neko Case, The Zolas, Mother Mother and more. CHECK OUT THE SCHEDULE HERE!

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FOR VIA in the BLOG section of the UCC&Awards - Lifestyle, Sports, Events and...MUSIC! (you can only vote once, and don't have to sign up, so it's super easy.)

(FYI, I'm also in the ARTS>PHOTOGRAPHER section) xo!
