I worked damn hard today. In fact I've been working damn hard for a really long time. That is why I really understand and appreciate Miek's contribution to this week's Flickr Pool...he made the selection process easy for me with a truly stunning image which comes along with a superb exerpt from Bobby Hundred's Blog which is definitely worth the read! It may seem as if I'm being somewhat hypocritical (using someone else's words as a cop-out!) considering the content of the aforementioned blog post but everything about this image and the words that come along with it struck a chord with me today. Thanks guys.

Also, I'm aware that one of Miel's other images was chosen as the VIA daily Flickr Pickr today as well...his photography is just that good! Check more of his work out here.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more specific about the location here. Can everyone please in future include a little more info so we can pinpoint where the photo was made and say a few words about that area.

There was a lot of amazing photography in the pool this week folks, please keep posting and spreading the word about the Unplugged Flickr Pickr.

LOCATION: Sechelt

If you'd like to see your outdoor photos featured at VIA, submit them to our V.I.A. UNPLUGGED Flickr pool.

UNPLUGGED is a state of mind.

It’s that point in your consciousness where you can feel at one with nature, escaping the trappings of the day-to-day to an almost dream-like place where nothing else seems to exist besides you and your natural surroundings. It is our opinion here at VIA that Vancouver holds a unique place in the civilized world in that reaching this state often requires no more effort than simply pulling off to the side of the road, pocketing your keys and taking a few steps into the forest
