There's a new exhibit opening up at the Museum of Vancouver this Thursday, called: Neon Vancouver, Ugly Vancouver.
It's a retrospective of the neon signage that used to be literally EVERYWHERE in Vancouver, and the discussion that occurred in the 50's, 60's and 70's about what it reflected...big city glamour, or a tawdry display of sliding values.
I got to check out the exhibit before the opening night and want to share some photos of the installation which runs until August 12 2011... so check them out and then go see for yourself!
