Vancouver Is Awesome, and we are dedicated to everything that makes it that way.

If you want to read ugly, bad news about this beautiful city of ours, you’re going to have to look to traditional media and other blogs; V.I.A. promotes everything that makes our city awesome, from old to new and everything inbetween. We’re like the human interest piece on the news… only different.

Vancouver is an amazing city, chock full of creative talent. WE ARE VANCVR is a simple, elegant way to showcase all that talent in one place. Every Tuesday we profile one individual from the VANCVR community.VANCVR.com is brought to you, with love, from Domain7 Labs.

Designer Pamela Rounis is an alumna of both Emily Carr AND Capilano University, so we’re pretty sure she’s learned from the best, but if her portfolio is any indication, she’s got a whole lot of innate talent to go with her know-how. Her work is endlessly cute, clever and “aw”-inspiring. On top of her knack for design, she claims to be a “stalwart adversary at the Scrabble table” so, watch out for those triple-word-scores and for her work as it keeps popping up all over our fair city, and beyond.

Scroll down to see her skills and find out why she loves being a creative in Vancouver.

What do you do?

Mostly, I’m a designer at BrandFX but also dabble in freelance when it suits me.

Why do you love being creative in Vancouver?

I just love learning things from all the talented people in this city. Everything you could want to do is available here; from screen printing workshops at Blim to cooking classes at Dirty Apron, if you want to expand your creative chi it’s not hard to find a new and interesting outlet (ya, I said chi).

How would you love to collaborate with local creatives?

I’d like a chance to help create new and innovative things. Collaboration is vital to any burgeoning web/app technology, and since I don’t know how to program I’d like to offer up my design services. Let’s make something better than Twitter…who’s with me?!

How can people reach you?
