Brody Lahd is a young'un among vancvr's ever-expanding line-up of creatives, but this recent Art Institute grad has a clever portfolio that certainly sparked our imaginations. He's making his place in our fine city—in his current role as designer at a print house, he may have found his foothold. Beyond design, Brody's interests branch into other creative and Canadian endeavours: comic book and sneaker collecting, live music and, naturally, hockey! Read on to find out why he loves being a creative in Vancouver.
What do you do?
Currently working as an in-house graphic designer for a large printing company. Working on personal projects in my spare time.
It's a city that's easy to get inspired in—if that makes sense. Every time I walk out my front door I get an idea. There's also so much exposure to so many different talents and media for all things creative, which makes it really easy to get inspired.
Lately I've been re-coding my website in HTML5 and CSS3 to expand my horizons, so I would love to collaborate on digital projects. I've also taken a huge interest in calligraphy and hand-drawn typography, so that is definitely something I'm interested in. I'm pretty open to all sorts of projects though just for the experience.
