This should be interesting: cycling advocate Mikael Colville-Andersen (who founded Copenhagenize.com) is doing a FREE talk at SFU Woodwards this coming Thursday. Bicycle Culture by Design is the second part in a series sharing lessons from the success of Copenhagen’s transport system, specifically how they've managed to get the majority of the butts of their citizens onto bicycles.

After Mikael's talk there will be a discussion panel made up of Peter Ladner, Erin O'Mellin (the Executive Director of HUB), myself and one other person TBA. We'll share our thoughts (mine being from the angle of someone who is not much a a cyclist, contrasting the toned calf muscles of my fellow panelists) and then get into some dialogue.

Now I hate to do this to you, but it was sold out even before I was brought onto the panel and I don't have any tickets to give away. The bright side of this coin, however, is that you can put your name on a waiting list for tickets HERE. And even if you don't get to sit in a chair for a couple of hours, all the while wishing you were outside riding your bike, the following night there's going to be a fabulous party you'll want to attend: The Cycle Chic Social! Below are details and HERE is the Facebook event page...
