That was an amazing week of fireworks and free music...way to go Celebration Of Lights and everyone involved for another great year. The weather was perfect and it was amazing seeing some of our favourite local and Canadian bands performing to thousands of people!

Well, this week I'll be camping on the island, so I don't know which shows, if any I can catch...BUT there will be a LOT going on so check out the listings below and the photos as well!

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: there are some great shows, starting with the Bear Mountain CD Release Show at the Media Club on Wednesday! During the week the Musical Nooners are still happening including Washboard Union on Thursday and Warrden Dean Flandez on Friday at the CBC downtown! Also on Thursday night there is a benefit for MusicBC at 560 with The British Columbians, Maurice and more. Next up is the second Semi Final for the Voice of the Cellar, which has an all star lineup of Steph Macpherson, Jordan Klassen and City of Glass...it's on Friday and cover is free before 9pm! Then Saturday night the show featuring our playlist-creators this week: Tough Lovers, and FACTS is happening at the Biltmore. If all of this wasn't enough, the free shows at Lonsdale Quay are still going on, with Dominique Fricot this Sunday! Have a great week!
