BC BuzZ: 2012 Vancouver International Fringe Festival

Well its the last couple of days left to get Fringey at the Vancouver Fringe Festival.  BC’s largest theatre festival and North America’s most international Fringe Fest ends its run on the 16th (keep in mind, the Pick of the Fringe follows for one week with the 10 most popular shows). For this episode of BC BuzZ we got to chit chat with Executive Director David Jordan and a peek at two local plays by Victoria’s Missie Peters and UBC grad’s Bright Young Theatre.  After seeing so many shows, its tough to pick one specific show that trumps all, but its hard not to make mention of a real fave, Carolann Valentino's Burnt at the Steak.  We caught it last night (late late show) at Performance Works to an almost full house (great numbers for a show starting at 10:30pm).  The show is funny, clever, entertaining and more....and for a moment you don't feel like you are just seeing another Fringe show, but seeing a full fledged Off-Broadway/Vegas revue that is very polished.  From singing to stand-up to sketch, its a full 360 degrees of fun all packed into 75 minutes. Go check  it out and others, on this last weekend of the Fringe!  Support your Local Theatre!
