Wednesday, November 14th was the third annual I am Downtown shopping night at Pacific Centre.  The event brings about 15,000 shoppers to the mall to take advantage of discounts, contests and promotions.  It's also a bit of a way to kick off the holiday season and showcase fall/winter collections.

The evening was full of action including a fashion show, a photo shoot set up to have your picture on the cover of Fashion Magazine, spin the wheel contests, and VIPs could access a lounge complete with cupcakes.  A styling presentation was given by Joy Pecknold, Western editor of Fashion Magazine, highlighting this season's trends.

Fashionistas and shopoholics tested their skills trying to guess the value of one men's and one women's outfit in order to win a $1000 gift card.

Bloggers from a variety of Vancouver websites gave 10 minute presentations at some of the punch-card contest stores.  Yours truly gave a brief talk on some of the great sustainability things some shoe companies are up to at the Little Burgundy store.  We were also give the opportunity to hunt down our three "best dressed" guests in the mall and award them with a $20 gift card.

I am Downtown is a night to promote what Pacific Centre has to offer, and showcase the city's main mall, and maybe help keep shoppers spending their dollars in Vancouver.
