TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 31

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

The Vancouver Christmas Market is in full swing - check it out any day of the week until December 24. You'll find aisle upon aisle of local vendors selling gifts and festive treats, many of them German.

Hot Chocolate & Warm Sparkle Cookies by Thomas Haas - the holiday season is absolutely not complete without this pairing. Evn the LA Times says this gluten free baked good is one of the best of its kind in the world. #TODIEFOR

S'mores at Mink A Chocolate Cafe - is there a more creative Christmas date idea out there? Roast your mallows over a non-toxic sugar-burning Hibachi, then dip in your choice of melted dark, milk or white chocolate. Too much fun.

Balsamic Salt Wings by Yew at Four Seasons - Chef Ned Bell makes the balsamic salt in house with Venturi Shulze, a premium vinegar from Cobble Hill, BC (it is so good, that at $50 I'd call it a steal). These are a must-try with Yew's Figgy Pudding Cocktail.

The Carnivore by Nelson the Seagull - one of the best sandwiches in Vancouver, made on exquisite house-made ciabatta. Make it a goal to try it this holiday season.
