TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 34

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Peppermint Sandwich Cookies - a fun and festive holiday baking option. Also a great way to make use of all those leftover candy canes. Pair with nutmeggy egg nog, of course. Recipe here.

Benedictish by Heirloom Vegetarian - loaded with wild mushrooms and a fantastic citrusy hollandaise sauce. This brunch dish was a true ten out of ten.

Yam and Egg Feature Sandwich by Heirloom Vegetarian - hope it's available next time you go! Who knew yam and egg would be such a great pairing? On a gluten free English muffin this menu option was another brunch winner.

Tuna Tataki by Ajisai Sushi Bar - perfectly fresh, deliciously tangy. This is just one of the many 'perfect' dishes sampled that made it extremely easy to add Ajisai to my 'best sushi in Vancouver list'. View it here.

Apple Caramel Macaron by Kitchening - another blow-your-mind flavour combo by pastry chef Carly Wintschel. Find her and her dynamite bites at The Bay downtown's pop up shop every day until the 24th.
