Here's something heartwarming: Since 1985 The Quick Cobbler (now located on 2nd Avenue in Southeast False Creek) has collected 25,000 pairs of shoes and donated them to folks in need. They ask their customers to bring in unwanted shoes and boots that are in decent shape and if they need minor repairs they fix them up before they go out the door.
