13 community leaders are teaming up with 13 photographers over two weeks in The Love Umbrella Project headed up by Kelly Deck. It's an art-based media campaign and photo exhibition sponsored by The Vancouver Foundation, with all proceeds going to Leave Out Violence (LOVE), a Vancouver community organization devoted to youth anti-violence programs.
Each team was given the task of collaborating on an image or a series of images sharing the story of how love illuminates their communities. Click the image below to see more from Amanda Gibbs and photographer Claudette Carrecedo, to learn more about their concept and the project as a whole.
“Strathcona Community Centre is a friendly hub: where people from many backgrounds can gather, eat and play in a welcoming, non-judgmental space.”
