What comes to mind when you think of Yaletown? Thoughtful artistic types? Professional photographers who have had books published and are constantly pumping out inspiring works? Because my friend (and former V.I.A. contributor) Dano Pendygrasse, he is all of those things.
Dano shared this video he created with me and I am so excited to share it with you. It's a bit of a love letter to the city but not in the "buy an SLR and shoot all of the familiar landmarks" sort of way that you've come to expect from the internet. It's a look at Yaletown that nobody has ever shown you before, and it got me to thinking about all of the people who live in those towers. So many of them are creatives, and they share a similar view of the city that Dano does and are studying it, but from a different angle. Literally and figuratively, this video does an amazing job of reminding us of the diversity of our neighbourhoods.
