TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 47

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

S'mores by The Oakwood - a dish so special, it's not on the regular menu. When presenting the dessert to diners, servers remove the pot covering the dish to reveal a cloud of 'campfire smoke', which takes you right back to your marshmallow roasting days. It tastes strongly smoky, sweet and salty - fantastic. I highly recommend you request the gourmet s'mores in advance for chef's tasting dinners.

Tuna by The Oakwood - with blueberry soy and sesame snow. A must-try.

Hot Tuna by The Oakwood - with white bean puree and buttery garlic toast. Another winner. So far, Oakwood is three for three.

Warm Kale Salad by The Oakwood - who knew kale could be sinful? Drenched in creamy dressing, you may want to order two.

Quinoa Salad by Culver City Salads & The Green Smoothie The Juice Truck - my new favorite lunch in Gastown.
