TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 51

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Cucumber Avocado Lime Smoothie from Home Made Summer - a gem of a cookbook found at The Cross Design. You'll be overwhelmed by pages upon pages of irresistibly fun drink, dessert and hostess ideas, like this entirely unique, savory summer smoothie (which could be served as a refreshing soup, too).

Chia Coconut Pudding Popsicles - inspired by these ultra-classy, stainless steel popsicles makers from West Elm Market (and my pudding, which didn't set! I think it happened for a reason...because they were fabulous.) Recipe here.

Chocolate Truffles by Chez Christophe - Fellow chocolate lovers rejoice - there's a new, incredible chocolaterie in town. Chef Christophe, formerly of CinCin, has opened his own, sparkly new shop on Hastings and it's a must-try. Let him select your box of truffles - each pictured below was purely delightful.

Tuscan-style Salami with Dried Figs by Moccia & Urbani - with hits of sweet fig riddled throughout, this locally made salami is just the kind I hope to find out on the appy table (it's hormone-free and local, too). All it needs is a crusty baguette and a big glass of red.

East Cafe - just four weeks old, located on the corner of Hastings & Nanaimo. Head here for a well-made coffee (Intelligentsia beans), gluten free baked goods (which seem to sell-out by mid-day), and loads of character.
