I hope you got out and saw some great jazz music this week, I sure did, Pugs & Crows blew me away! And then there was the awesome night at the Media Club for Undercover Brothers #9! Nothing like singing along to songs from the 90's! Great week...

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: Jazz Festival is in full swing! So much is going on: Debra Jean at the Electric Owl, Royal Wood at David Lam Park, Wake Owl at the E.Owl, and Shane Koyczan at the Vogue, just to name a few. On top of that there are tons of shows to check out leading into the long weekend. Common Courtesy is having it's launch at the Portside Pub on Thursday w/ a ton of bands, including Sex With Strangers. Friday, Bed Of Stars is having their "I Fell In Love With The City" EP Release at the Media Club, with Tough Lovers and JP Maurice. Saturday head right back to the Media Club for a BBQ, alongside music by Sunshine, BESTiE, Pleasure Cruise, and the debut of Chiinatown. If you feel like getting out of town this weekend, camping on a mountain and seeing some music - check out the Tall Tree Music Festival in Port Renfrew. Finally, HAPPY CANADA DAY! There is lots going on around the city, including free shows at Canada Place (ft Bend Sinister, Washboard Union, and even Bif Naked), or check out the Surrey Canada Day party ft Sloan, Dear Rouge, and Good For Grapes.
