I spent my weekend in Kamloops, so I missed some Halloween fun, but I managed to make it to Grant Lawrence's book release (see photos here) and caught Bodhi Jones performing at the launch. Yesterday was my first hosting gig at Industry Night at the Media Club where I got to chat with the band Legs before their show.
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: there's lots of Halloween parties happening but I recommend checking these shows out: Tonight there is a fundraiser to support Spinal Cord Injury Canada at Ceilis Irish Pub with music from The Beckmeister. Come Friday at the Cobalt has another free show to kick of November, this time with Ontario band The Elwins with Sunny Pompeii! Saturday might I suggest a post-Leafs v Canucks trip over to the Media Club for a No Doubt/Nirvana cover band night?! Iron and Wine are at the Commodore on Sunday the 3rd. And finally Jody Glenham is releasing her EP at the Biltmore on Monday with Seattle band Cataldo.
