If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

Making your way across a teetering suspension bridge over one of Vancouver's amazing canyons is something that every Vancouverite needs to experience at least once, even if only when hosting an out-of-town visitor. Lucky for you, and unbeknownst to most, there is a free suspension bridge you can visit every day of the year! Lynn Canyon Park features 617 acres of forest, an ecology centre, and tons of picnic spots on top of a host of hiking trails and, yes, a suspension bridge. It's also pretty easy to get to by transit (just hop the #229 from the Sea Bus terminal and then Community Shuttle 227).
