Pharrell's "Happy", all about Vancouver?

Last night as I was listening to CBC Radio's On The Coast (88.1FM if you're unaware), Stephen Quinn and Lisa Christiansen chatted about Pharrell's song, "Happy", from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack and its potential of winning an Oscar this year.

As much as I can't get enough of CBC Radio they can't seem to get enough of this track; as I was listening to Rick Cluff on The Early Edition this morning - barely 12 hours later - he interviewed Amina Morin, a recent French immigrant who made the tribute video below, using "Happy" as the soundtrack. It was made in honour of this "Happy" city of ours, and it was so refreshing to hear her talk about how she'd been welcomed with open arms into our community, and that her family's experience so far over the past 4 years has not been an isolated one where everyone just grumbles all the time.

Enjoy the video below, and go HERE for the CBC story. Then be happy, or something.
